Some RV kitchen appliances can be smaller than you realize, and RV dishes for RV living need to have multiple functions.

I find that feeding four kids each day out of our RV requires me to be smart about my RV kitchen supplies. Especially when diving into RV kitchen organization ideas.

1. Berkey Water Filter
You will need filtered and clean water when camping in an RV, camper, motorhome, or even a pop-up trailer. I never trust the water supply where we go, so we depend on our Berkey as our water purifier.

2. Instant Pot
If you want to know one of the best travel trailer kitchen accessories, then check out an Instant Pot. It can do much of what you need in an RV kitchen. Thisis a must-have item and one that we also use pretty regularly.I love how we can cook our taco meat in it one day, rice the next day, and then make hard-boiled eggs the following day. Yet, I think our family’s favorite meal we make on a weekly basis is chili with dried beans in under an hour!It’s like a rice cooker or slow cooker, but definitely better!
3. Espresso Maker or Coffee Maker
While you’re camping or RV living, you may want a way to stay caffeinated, right? Or is that just us? some might say that an espresso maker is one of the luxury RV kitchen accessories they just don’t know they need.
Yet, one of OURrequired RV appliances is our portable espresso maker. Even when we’re traveling out of the country by plane or boondocking in our RV (dry camping) we’ll use this every morning so we can get some amazing espresso. Now, if you like coffee better then check out #4 below.
4. AeroPress
This is the best portable coffee or espresso maker we’ve found for a cheap price. Now, if you want something less expensive, small, and easy to use then this might be for you.
I’ll actually take our Aeropress in my suitcase when I fly to a conference, and it works great in hotel rooms too! Just realize that it makes a good cup of coffee, not espresso.

5. Cast Iron Skillet
Cast iron skillets are some of the top RV camping must haves. Honestly, you can use them for most types of RV cooking, from stovetop to an RV oven. Or even over a bonfire! We use ours to make amazing scrambled eggs, bacon, french toast or even just to warm up our lunch meat. A cast iron skillet is such a versatile RV kitchen accessory.
Another great option is this two-piece 3-quart combo cast iron set from Camping World that can act as a dutch oven, skillet, fryer, or even griddle.
6. Immersion Blender
One of our favorite RV gadgets is our immersion blender. It takes up a lot less space than a blender and allows our family to enjoy smoothies in our RV kitchen. This immersion blender even works like a food chopper. Not as great as a food processor, but it chops onions easily.It’s one of the best RV kitchen gadgets.
7. Collapsible Strainer
A collapsible strainer is one of the most common motorhome kitchen accessories out there. Really, I’m not sure of many RVers that haven’t been sucked into buying these handy collapsible things.
I’m such a minimalist and would rather just ‘get by’ with what we have before buying this new gadget. Yet, I finally realized about 6 months into living in our RV that I couldn’t stand the space we were using up just to carry our old colander around.
I LOVE how much space I save in my limited space in our RV kitchen cabinets now that we finally bought one! Another great addition is these collapsible bowls with lids from Camping World.
8. Collapsible Measuring Cups
These cool guys are such space-savers! I swear that they invented these collapsible measuring cups for tiny house living in order to help with organization and saving space. Our oldest daughteruses these every week to bake homemade sourdough bread.They are some fun kitchen accessories for RV living.
9. Mason Jars for Cups and Leftovers
Mason jars have so many functions! They can be used for regular drinking cups, food storage or even a vase for wildflowers! We’ve found glass mason jars to be some of the most durable camping dishes. If you happen to watch any of our YouTube videos, you might see Tony and I holding our small mason jars as our espresso cups!
10. Knives With Covers
I highly recommend getting a set of sharp knives with covers. They are RV accessories for kitchen inside your small RV kitchen drawer.
A good knife is important in any kitchen, but specific to a camper trailer kitchen are having the covers. This way you can put them in your drawers and not cut yourself when you’re sifting around for a spoon one day.
11. Cups
These stainless steel pint cups are great for camping. We have a set of 4 and they stack well, are lightweight, and clean so easily.
12. Camping Utensils for Eating
These camping dishes are SO cool!We just bought our kids these sporks so that we could cut down on our overuse of RV silverware.
Each person in the family is responsible for cleaning their colored spoon-fork combo, and I love that they work as a knife for our toddler too!

These bright-colored utensils work perfectly and are more than what you need for all your RV kitchenware.

14. Dishes
The best RV dishes and accessories are just like the dishes we bought from Ikea. They are simple, inexpensive, and stack easily in the RV kitchen. Go for simple.
The nice part about melamine dishes is they’re very shatter-resistant.
Even if the little kids take the RV dishware outside for a meal at the picnic table, they should survive quite a lot of abuse.
15. Drying Rack for Dishes
One of the RV camping accessories you will need is a collapsible dish drying rack or dish drainer for your RV kitchen sink. This is a simple rack that rolls out over your sink and works really well for your camper dishes.
As an RVer, you know how crucial extra space is, and that helpful item must be able to be tucked away.
16. RV Cookware
Campervan kitchen accessories include easy-to-store cookware. A set of easily stackable RV cookware are necessary kitchen tools. This set is even a great space saver from Camping World worth checking out! Being able to stack all these pots inside of each other will make your kitchen space seem much larger!
17. Hot Pad – The ‘Ove Glove’
This ‘Ove Glove‘ is fantastic for grilling and holding your cast iron skillet handle or other RV cookware. I always love finding kitchen camper accessories that work both in and outside.
Being able to grab cooking packs from the fire or snag a marshmallow before it scorches, these gloves have so many uses!

18. Portable Propane Grill
Your RV outdoor kitchen is not complete without a portable propane grill. We use our Cuisinart Petit Gourmetevery week and consider it one of our RV camping must haves.
We love it so much that when it finally died after 2 years of using it multiple times per week, we bought another one!
19. Grilling Utensils
Grilling utensils are some of those must have camping accessories. They’re RV camping supplies that almost everyone has so they can do any outdoor cooking. Whether cooking on the grill or over a campfire, these utensils will help you to make a perfect meal every time. Plus a stylish case where you can safely stow away utensils while traveling. I’m all about space saving in an RV.
20. Dish Tub
A dish tub is a simple and useful RV camping must have to add to your list. When we camp/RV without a sewer hook-up, then we use our dish tub each day to save on gray water.
Not only is this a great dish tub for RVers but it can come in handy for parents who want to give their toddlers a bath outside while camping too.
21. Folding Table
A folding table is a must have for a camping kitchen. I especially love our adjustable height table so we can ‘match’ it to the height of other tables available outdoors.
Just make sure to label it with your name since it’s the #1 RV accessory that’s at nearly every campsite. At a potluck or cookout, it’s not uncommon to see over a dozen of these same tables in-use.

22. RV Trash Can
Many campers would say that one of the best camping accessories to have is an RV trash can. This one folds up nicely and fits up to a 33-gallon bag making a great addition to your RV gear.
While boondocking and needing trash storage or keeping local critters out of your trash bags, this popup container does a pretty good job.
Just a note, if you’re in bear country, always pack away all your trash and storage containers.

What’s camping without roasting marshmallows or hot dogs? Roasting sticks like these are one of those RV camping accessories everyone needs. Plus the telescoping ability of these sticks makes them very kid-friendly so they can stand further back from an ambitious campfire.

24. Spice Rack
One of the tricks to traveling with food in motorhomes or RVs is keeping your spices secure. In this wall-mount spice rack, you won’t have any issues there. This great RV spice rack screws into the wall so that things won’t go flying around on travel day.
The last thing you want is to arrive after a long day of travel and have your whole RV smell like garlic powder and marjoram.

25. Paper Towel Holder
If you’re looking for great RV ideas for saving space on your countertops, then invest in an under the cupboard paper towel holder. It’s one of those RV accessories most people appreciate and don’t always think about.
This was one of the first things we bought for the RV, attached with 3M Command Strips, and it hasn’t budged in 2 years of full-time RV traveling and almost 30,000 miles!

26. Non-Slip Shelf Liner
A helpful way to keep your dishes and camper kitchen accessories from sliding around in drawers and cupboards is using a non-slip shelf liner.
Being able to arrive safely and have your dishes and various wares be right where you left them is the reason this shelf liner is an RV kitchen must have.
27. Tension Rods
Some of the greatest RV organization accessories are tension rods. Keeping a couple ofthese tension rods between shelves can stop camping dinnerware or food from shifting during travel.
Used in combination with the shelf liners above will ensure you and your contents arrive safely.
We even use these in our motorhome bathroom and in our electronics cabinet to hold everything in securely. They are one of the RV kitchen must haves.
28. Over the Pantry Door Storage
This is by far one of the best RV organization ideas for kitchens or even bathrooms! Hang it on the back of your RV pantry or bathroom door and use each pocket to save space!
We’ve got one for our bathroom supplies, one for shoes, and you can even cut each row down and drape them around the base of your RV bed for even more storage.
Depending on the layout of your kitchen, these work great as an additional space to hold pantry food or dishes.
29. Glass Left Over Containers
A set of stackable glass storage containers can be used safely in the microwave, while also working as dishes to eat from. They’re also great camping organization ideas.
With limited storage space in an RV, you want to make sure what you’re buying is sturdy and these things are nearly bulletproof (kid-tested).

One big thing that I’ve learned during this big lifestyle change is that everything in our RV needs to be used regularly to keep it. Otherwise, it takes up precious space and adds extra weight.
