all hunting seasons

As a hunter, you probably know how important it is to keep track of your equipment. This of course also applies to your primary tool after the rifle. The hunting knife. Regardless of the hunt, it can come in handy. A good hunting knife should be able to cut wood, skin, butcher and make a sandwich. Here’s a collection of our favourites.

Mora 2000 (S)

Mora 2000 (S)

A faithful servant. Here’s perhaps our most timeless hunting knife which, since its launch in 1991, has been and still is the most popular hunting knife. The ergonomic handle features a soft friction grip, finger guard and a 2.5 mm thick profile-ground blade made of recycled Swedish stainless steel, which provides both strength and stability in every cut. The polymer knife sheath is symmetrical, which means it suits both right and left-handed users, and has a leather strap made of Swedish vegetable-tanned leather that can be attached easily to your belt.

The original idea came from a Norwegian agent who requested a knife with multiple functions. It had to be easy to fillet and clean fish, skin an animal and be used to prepare the lunch bag. During the first field test, it was found that the Morakniv Mora 2000 was excellent for cutting bread, spreading butter, and cutting sausage. Features that most hunters found to be an important factor.
