Essentially, Shein sells clothes manufactured from outlets located all over China and East Asia.
However, the company has strategic warehouses located where Shein has a significant customer base, (the aforementioned USA, Europe, Asia, and the Far East).
How Shein Shipping Works…
For example, when a European customer makes an order Shein will first attempt to fulfill the item from a warehouse based in Europe.
This will make delivery times significantly faster and almost guarantee that it falls within the lower end of the delivery schedule for that location.
However, if the item is not in stock within a European-based fulfillment center, Shein will ship the item from China, inevitably increasing the delivery time.
To help ensure that local-based warehouses are able to fulfill as many orders as possible, trending stock items are dispatched in bulk from China on a regular basis.
This process of consolidating stock sourced from China and having it readily available in local warehouses has allowed Shein to offer apparel at low prices, with generally good delivery times, and is a big factor behind the success of the enterprise.

So How Fast can Shein Deliver?
Shein lists its delivery times on the website based on the customer’s location. There is a drop-down menu where you can select the destination country and see the potential delivery window.
The speed of delivery is also dependent on the shipping service opted for:
- Economy Shipping: 3-4 weeks
- Standard Shipping: 2-3 weeks
- Express Shipping: 1-2 weeks
The important issue to pay attention to is the wide spectrum of potential delivery times. This is all dependent on where the item is when the order is made.
As explained above, if the order is made and the item can be fulfilled from a warehouse in the local region, delivery will clearly be faster.
Furthermore, customers located in Asia will receive faster delivery times due to the items being manufactured in Asia.
That being said, wherever an order needs to be fulfilled from China, (or another location overseas from the destination country) all but express delivery shipments will take at least two weeks to arrive.

Where Does Shein Ship From? Areas Without Local Fulfilment Centers
So if you leave somewhere that is not close to a Shein fulfillment center, where does Shein ship from?
This is relevant to me as I currently live in Croatia. A look at the Shein website regarding shipping times to Croatia reveals a very wide spectrum for delivery, (see screenshot above).
Only standard shipping is available to me and my package could take anything between 8 and 20 business days to arrive.
The closest Shein fulfillment center to me is in Germany (I know from previous Shein orders I have made) and this accounts for the lengthy shipping times.
If I am lucky, the item will be in stock in the warehouse based in Germany and I could receive my item within 8 days, (after the 1 to 3-day processing time).
However, if my order is sent from China it could easily take up to a month to arrive, and even longer if the delivery runs into any problems.

How to find out where Shein ships from?
It is difficult to ascertain where the closest Shein fulfillment center is from any given location as the company does not make this information readily available.
However, if you are interested in ordering from Shein and are wondering where they will ship from, I would recommend that you head straight to the shipping info page on the website.
This will automatically adjust to show the potential shipping duration to your country. This will at least provide you with the minimum and maximum length of time you should expect to wait until your order is delivered.

Important Note if Your Item Doesn’t Arrive
The Shein shipping page also contains some important information about what you should do if your shipment is not delivered within a certain time frame:
If your package has not been delivered or your tracking information shows that your package has been delivered but you have not received it, you must contact Customer Service to verify within 45 days of the order date. For other orders, products, and logistics related issues, you must contact customer service within 90 days of the order date.
As with any online order and especially those traveling long distances to be delivered, you should know your rights when it comes to any problems that might occur.
In the case of non-delivery, you have 45 days after making the order in which to file a complaint and claim your money back, (or receive store credit).
